Proposal

Finishing what your site already started

The bones you have are good. This takes them the rest of the way, launched on the domain you already own, and yours to keep.

The Website

$800One time

Your structure, your coverage lines, your reviews and your quote form are already right, so none of that gets thrown away. This is priced as a finish rather than a start from nothing.

  • All four pages rebuilt: home, coverage, about, and a quote page
  • The coverage page fixed so it reads properly on a phone
  • Type sized up throughout so nobody has to squint at it
  • Your quote form kept as it is, wired in, with every request landing in your inbox
  • Your photography placed throughout, including a proper introduction to you
  • Your Google rating and reviews built into the design rather than buried
  • Set up so Google can show your star rating and your FAQs in search results
  • A real map, your hours, and one tap to call from any page
  • Launched on casausinsurancegroup.llc, the domain you already own
  • Checked on phones, tablets and desktops before it goes live
  • Yours outright, with no monthly fee attached to the build

Care Plan

$50Per month, optional
  • Hosting, security certificate, and software updates handled
  • Backups, plus spam filtering on your quote form
  • Monitoring so you know your quote requests are still arriving
  • Thirty minutes a month of content changes, hours, rates, new coverage
  • A check-in every quarter
  • No contract. Stop any time. $500 a year if you would rather pay once

If you would rather not have a care plan, that is completely fine. The site is still yours and it still works. You would just handle hosting and updates yourself.

If you ever want it

One thing worth knowing about

Not part of this proposal, and not something you need on day one.

A private, searchable place for everything you have to look up

Carrier rules, plan documents, underwriting guidelines, what you told a client last November. You ask it a question in plain English and get the answer in seconds instead of hunting through files. Private to you, not on your website.

$1,500, and if you ever decide to do it alongside other work there is usually a discount for building two things at once. Ask me when the time comes.

How it goes

Four steps, about two weeks

  1. You say go, and send over photos of yourself and the office. This is the part I need from you, and it is the part that holds everything else up.
  2. I build the rest of the pages out and drop your real photography in.
  3. You look at it on your own phone and tell me what to change. We go back and forth until it is right.
  4. I point your domain at the new site and it goes live. Nothing breaks in between, and your current site stays up until the moment we switch.

Simple, and yours

The terms

You own all of it

The site, the code, the domain, the content. If you ever want to take it somewhere else or hand it to someone else, you can, and I will help you do it.

No lock-in

The care plan is month to month and optional. Nothing about the build depends on you keeping it.

Payment

Half to start, half when it goes live. No charge for the concept you have already seen.

Your current site

It stays exactly where it is and keeps working until you have seen the new one and told me you are happy with it.

A note from Kate

Jessy, I looked at your site because you mentioned you were not thrilled with it, and I want to be straight with you: it is not bad. Whoever built it did real work. The bones are good and your quote form is genuinely well made.

What I found was a handful of specific things, one of which is an actual bug on phones, and the fact that there is not a single photograph of you anywhere on it. People buy insurance from a person. Yours is a business where three different people took the time to leave a review with your name in it, and nobody visiting your site ever gets to see your face.

The concept is there for you to click through and pick apart. If it is not the direction you want, tell me and I will not be offended. And if you would rather take the list of fixes to whoever built it originally, that is a completely fine outcome too.
